DEVOTIONS
The devotional life of the Church augments and strengthens the sacramental life of the Catholic, and helps foster and deepen faith, hope and charity. Devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus occupies an important place in the prayer life of our parish. First Friday devotions are prayed after the 8:00 AM Mass. An annual Forty Hours Devotion is ordinarily celebrated the second week of Lent.
As a Parish blessed to be under the patronage of the Mother of God, we give to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary the special veneration that is her due. Here at OLA, the Rosary is prayed before all Masses on the first full weekend of the month, beginning 20 minutes before each Mass. In addition, First Saturday Devotions are celebrated following the 9:00 Mass. May Procession and an annual Triduum to Our Lady of the Assumption complete the public devotion we joyfully give to Mary.
