OLA Finance Council

Mission: The Finance Council, is governed, in addition to universal law, by norms issued by the diocesan bishop. Members of the Christian faithful, selected according to these same norms, are to assist the pastor in the administration of the goods of the parish, without prejudice to the prescript of canon 532.The Council assists the pastor/administrator in achieving the most responsible stewardship of parish material goods and resources.
The Parish Finance Council is currently made up of seven active members of the parish, along with a Pastoral Council representative, the Parish Business Manager, and the Pastor. Members of this group are responsible for reviewing parish financial statements, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and providing the pastor with recommendations with regards to parish finances. The group meets on a bi-monthly basis. Subcommittees meet during the intervening months.
